THE QUICK ANSWER
An order succeeds at the board, not at the workbench. Use the accepted contract to decide what to manufacture, then look for a changed delivery counter after depositing the matching supplies in the warehouse basement. Players describe collection as a later board visit on the sun-symbol cycle.

What you need
- Warehouse and order-board access in your save.
- The exact active contract name and its current counter.
- Access to the supply recipe shown by that contract.

- 04Board collection
Read the contract first
At the board, record the supply name and requested quantity. A loose ingredient and a packaged supply are different things. Keep the order open while planning your recipe; this prevents a stockpile of the wrong output.
Make only the accepted batch
Compare the crafting output name with the contract, then queue the amount you can finish. As an editorial planning rule, start with one contract rather than allocating all workers to several unfinished batches.
Use the delivery interaction
Players identify the tarp-covered crate pile in the warehouse basement. Carry the finished supply there and use the interaction. An ordinary storage chest is not the delivery point described in these reports.
Check progress, then collect
Look at the board counter after delivery. Players report returning on the following sun-symbol day to claim the result; deliveries made on collection day may wait for another cycle. Keep a note of when you deposited the final crate.
Use the counter to decide your next move
Imagine that your factory has finished its queue but the board still shows an incomplete shipment. The useful next action is a delivery check, not another production run. Our suggested ledger puts three quantities side by side: supplies requested, supplies ready to carry and supplies registered at the board. These describe different stages. Count stored stock toward production readiness, and count only the board value toward shipment completion. After the final deposit, mark the collection cycle you are waiting for. That note helps distinguish a pending reward from an unregistered crate when you return to the warehouse.
Common blockers
| What you see | Check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Crate does not count | Supply name and delivery interaction | Compare the carried crate with the active order and recheck the basement pile. |
| Counter full, reward pending | Date of the last deposit | Return to the order board on the next collection cycle. |
| Iron quest remains blocked | Installed patch and quest state | Use the order troubleshooting guide before repeating production. |
Workbench questions
Does talking to Jack deliver the supplies?
The cited route uses the delivery pile and the board. Treat Jack’s town-progression dialogue as a separate check.
How many crates should I make?
Use the active contract counter. Older launch quantities can differ from the current build.
